ShallowSwayLess® Sway Reduction Devices

Draka Elevator Products now offers ShallowSwayLess, a sway reduction device for shallow pit applications. It reduces compensating cable sway and oscillation in installations up to 700 ft/min * 3.56 m/sec. If your installation doesn't have enough pit depth for standard dampening devices, the ShallowSwayLess is the perfect answer. The kit includes all components shown, including mounting bolts and washers.

Steadi-Flex™ Compensating Cable and Shallow SwayLess™ Dampening Device

Draka Elevator Products introduces Steadi-Flex™ Compensation Cable, a wide-loop version of our popular Whisper-Flex cable designed for use on elevators with greater than 400 feet • 122 m of travel or with elevators that have a side counterweight. The ShallowSwayLess Kit is a sway reduction device for shallow pit applications when our SwayLess™ or Super SwayLess™ devices may not operate.

SwayLess™ & Super SwayLess™ Sway Reduction Devices and Mounting Kits

Our SwayLess™ Sway Reduction Device is a low-cost way of reducing compensating cable sway and oscillation in installations up to 500 ft/min • 2.54 m/sec. Our Super SwayLess™ Sway Reduction Device smoothly reduces compensating cable sway and oscillation in installations up to 700 ft/min • 3.56 m/sec. The Mounting Kits contain all the parts required for the fast and convenient mounting of the devices on the pit floor and/or counterweight rails.

Whisper-Flex Installation Kits and Equipment for Shallow Pits

ShallowSwayLess® is a sway reduction device for shallow pit applications. The Pullout Switch Kit indicates activation of the Whisper-Flex safety loop before the mounting is compromised and the Pullout Switch is sold separately. Draka Elevator Products also offers Whisper-Flex Stripping Service, which saves customers the trouble of having to tear away the jacket on one end of the Whisper-Flex cable in the field.
