Draka Elevator's 26th Annual Golf Outing raised $830 to benefit the Elevator and Escalator Safety Foundation. Draka Elevator has been a member of EESF since February of 2000. This donation will go towards the development and distribution of safety programs to educate the public on safe and proper use of elevators, escalators and moving walks.

More than 120 people attended the golf outing which included a $5 raffle table that was specifically for the contribution to the EESF. All attendees were to purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of four big prizes if their number was selected. "The EESF raffle was a great way to raise money for a good cause as well as giving the attendees a chance to win some pretty cool prizes such as an IPod Touch or a Kindle book reader!" said Jetta Knight, coordinator of the event. Following the event, the attendees were invited to a complimentary reception with a Caribbean theme for drinks and appetizers catered by the Benvenue Country Club.
